Students have the opportunity to receive in-depth training in science and mathematics in innovative institutions, including <em>lyceums<\/em>, schools for gifted children, specialized schools, and 20 Nazarbayev intellectual schools in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n<p>In order to promote careers in science and mathematics, Kazakhstan actively takes part in international Olympiads, as well as coordinating them. Since 2011, Kazakhstan has been a country coordinator of the International \u201cSilk Road\u201d Olympiad.
