The ECRD is a government institution affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Considered the educational brain of the Ministry, the main role of the ECRD is to develop national curricula for all disciplines. <\/p>\n<p>The ECRD has been studying TIMSS results carefully and wrote a national report on results for TIMSS 2011. Since 2014, the ECRD has been organizing commissions for reviewing the national curricula on a large scale beginning with the lower grades.
