Use and Impact of TIMSS
After participating in TIMSS for the first time in 2007, the National Assessment and Examinations Center published national reports based on TIMSS results. These reports presented significant recommendations developed in consultation with leading mathematics and science teaching experts in Georgia. In addition to these reports, the center held informational meetings with different stakeholders to explain Georgia’s results and to discuss what was needed to achieve better results in subsequent cycles of TIMSS. The findings have not been reflected in educational policies yet.
