Special Initiatives in Mathematics and Science Education
Two national programs in mathematics and science education are being implemented in Buenos Aires:
- Maths for All—The objective of this initiative is to improve mathematics teaching strategies in Grades 4 to 6 of primary school. Didactic specialists provide onsite training to school management teams and teaching staff, and design and distribute materials among participants. In addition, teachers receive support via an e-learning platform.16
- Natural Science for All—Dated from 2012, the objective of this initiative is to improve student learning in natural science. The project targets public schools and involves personalized and continual training for primary school teachers in Grades 4 to 7.
