Physics Participation and Average Achievement by Gender
To consider the gender balance in TIMSS Advanced programs, this exhibit shows the percentage of students in these programs in each participating country who are male and female. In most countries, the majority of students taking advanced courses in physics was male. Males had higher average physics achievement than females in all the TIMSS Advanced countries except Lebanon, where females had higher achievement than males.
