Use and Impact of TIMSS

The TIMSS 2011 results were published and reported directly to stakeholders in science and mathematics education in Thailand, including the mathematics and science curriculum development team of the IPST, the Ministry of Education, the Office of the Basic Education Commission, and the Office of the Higher Education Commission. The results indicate that the quality of science and mathematics education is low in Thailand. As such, agencies concerned at all levels have been working to raise the quality of science, mathematics, and technology education by initiating various projects to support the development, progress, and further education of learners, teachers, and other education personnel.
